Walking away is not a sign of weakness.
In your own judgment, walking away is a sign of self-respect, integrity, and honoring your own soul.
To an outsider, it may look like selfishness, self-righteousness, being petty, or childlike.
Often, another person’s reaction reveals the fears and uncertainty they haven’t confronted yet. When expected control or outcomes are removed, it can show up as belittling or disrespect.
What might not be realized, is that walking away may not be directed at another person at all.
You may be walking away from an action or physical response such as:
• Disrespect
• Complacency
• Reactions and triggers
Call it intuition, inner knowing, or spirit — the signal feels the same.
Your spirit will guide you in a profound way if you’re able to tap into that higher knowing and trust it.
If the feeling to “walk away” keeps presenting itself, it may be time to pay attention.
When walking away brings relief instead of regret, your spirit has already decided.
Your only task is to listen.
